HAPPY PRESIDENT'S DAY!!!
I'm so glad we have a day to celebrate the presidents of the United States....or at least the one's who did great things for our country. To celebrate this very special day I dressed up like Abraham Lincoln and recited the Gettysburg address in front of my nice new friends at Macey's grocery store. Do you believe me?

This weekend Brett and I went to Logan to hang out with my sister's and their families and with his sister and old mission companion. I had A LOT of fun. For some reason I just love that little city. The Logan LDS temple has always been my favorite out of all I've ever seen.

One of my favorite things about this trip was eating dinner at a place called Angies: Where the Locals Eat. Yeah.....about those Logan locals......they're really, cool. :) We also got to watch Sammy and Luke dress up like Batman and Spiderman. Every once in awhile we would get confused and start thinking they were the REAL Batman and the REAL Spiderman....so sometimes they would pull up their masks and say, "It's just me, Wuke" or "It's me Sam".
We hung out with Betsy and Russ too on Sunday and ate some good food with them and Hannah and Kendall.

Brett got me High School Musical 1 and Remember the Titans on DVD....it was the BEST Valentine's Day gift ever! Not to mention the day before V-day he decorated my front door with balloons and chocolate and I had flowers waiting for me at my house when I got home from work. Pretty great, huh? I am so excited to finally own High School Musical!

Oh yeah, and on Sunday night Hannah, Kendall, Brett and I played LIFE. I lost big time and learned never to choose to go to college, but instead go straight for a career. Calm down mom and dad, I just learned that as a good strategy for the GAME, not real life. Enjoy some pictures of my fun adventures in Logan.

And of course, I got Valentines Day candy from the Bookstore with Stevie, as is our tradition!

Brett and Spiderman

I was trying to make a superhero face but um, it doesn't really look like one.

Heart-shaped pancakes on Valentines Day! Hannah is really good at making them look like hearts.

And here we are again, same spot, in 2009.

My strategy in life is just to skip college and the career all together and see how many sticks I can fit in my car. It seems to work out pretty well too. I'm glad you had a great Val day...Kudos to Brett!

You didn't want to post any of those awesome pictures of me or Brigg that I took on your camera? I'm hurt.

Oh! And what's with the "Ba"Logan? I don't get it.

I AM PECULIAR (this is a permanent post. If you have already read it, scroll down to see my latest)

Those of you who read my blog could probably make a list of all the reasons that you think I am a bit peculiar. No worries, I would be the first to shout an amen to everything you could think of. I know I’m peculiar; but let me tell you the number one thing on my list that I think makes me a peculiar person.

I know where I come from, why I am here and where I am going. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Some of you will know me as a “Mormon” although that is just a nickname. The word ‘Saint’ just means ‘member’ in this context. I believe in God the Eternal Father, that I am a daughter of God, and that He loves me and wants me to be happy. I believe in my Savior Jesus Christ who lived a perfect life, atoned for my sins, died and was resurrected all that I might enjoy the blessing of being forgiven of my sins, and having my body and spirit reunited after death. I know that just as God called prophets in the Old and New Testament times that He has in fact called a prophet to lead and guide us today. I believe that families can live together for eternity; death does not have to be the end of our relationships with the ones we love. Some of you may wonder how on earth I can know these things. As I learn more and more from the Bible and other scriptures and actually live what I learn I see the promises the Lord has made being fulfilled in my life, and I feel the Holy Spirit bear witness that these things are true.

I know, I’m peculiar, but thankfully there are over 13 million other peculiar members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and with each year that number grows. I feel so much joy and happiness in my life because of this knowledge. If you want to know more depth about anything I have said that makes me peculiar, visit www.mormon.org. This website explains in detail much of what I have just professed to believe and more.
